Kapitza is a multidisciplinary design studio run by two sisters Nicole and Petra Kapitza. The two designers share a passion for colors, patterns, mathematics and nature. Their work can be seen on brands such as Commes Des Garcons, Clinique, Gucci & many more.

The publication of "Kapitza's Geometric book" in 2008 caused a re-emergence of geometric art in fashion, furniture and illustration. However, the sophistication of their patterns and the convincing selection of colors remain a matter of precedence.

Their new collaboration with ZigZagZurich encompasses bedding, blankets and accessories - classic Kapitza Studio taken in a new direction.

The ZigZagZurich cotton artist blankets and throws collection was inspired by our love of cotton weaving transforming original art that supports the artists directly with every product sold. Using jacquard looms with super fine cotton, we weave these in small quantities. Soft yet tough enough, they can be used anywhere - home, garden, beach, pool, picnic - a design statement wherever you go!
